Established in January 2026, Hughes Marine LLC is a growing marine transportation company dedicated to providing reliable, efficient, and cost-effective push boat services throughout Mobile Harbor and surrounding inland waterways. Specializing in local harbor operations and river transportation, we are committed to delivering exceptional marine services while maintaining the highest standards of safety, professionalism, and customer satisfaction. At Hughes Marine LLC, we understand that every marine operation requires the right equipment, experienced personnel, and dependable service. Our fleet is designed to accommodate a variety of marine transportation needs, from navigating tight harbor spaces to handling larger commercial towing operations.

Our 600-horsepower twin-screw, truckable-sized push boat offers a unique advantage for customers requiring maneuverability in confined spaces. Its compact design allows us to operate efficiently in close quarters where larger conventional push boats may be less practical. Best of all, we can provide these specialized services at approximately half the cost of traditional full-sized push boats, offering customers an economical solution without sacrificing quality or performance.

Leading our fleet is THE MISS VANESSA, our powerful 3,600-horsepower push boat built to handle demanding marine transportation operations.

THE MISS VANESSA is staffed with a dedicated, full-time crew consisting of a Captain, Co-Captain, and four experienced deckhands onboard. This staffing arrangement allows the vessel to operate 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, providing continuous service to meet the demanding schedules of our customers. Our licensed, experienced captains and dedicated crew members work diligently to ensure every assignment is completed safely, efficiently, and professionally.

Coming in Fall 2027:

• THE HUGHES LEGACY – A 74-foot, 2,200-horsepower push boat designed to enhance our marine transportation capabilities.
• THE HUGHES LEGEND – A powerful 110-foot, 3,356-horsepower push boat scheduled to join our fleet in late 2027.

In addition to our growing push boat fleet, we are continually adding hopper barges and deck barges to expand our transportation capabilities and better serve the needs of our commercial marine customers.
